Trying to Increase Social Equity in the Cannabis Industry

Seismic Advocacy, in partnership with California Minority Alliance, Latinos for Cannabis and Supernova Women, hosted a round-table discussion earlier this month on social equity in L.A.’s cannabis industry. “The idea was to provide an update on the status of L.A.’s licensing rollout for social equity applicants as well as solutions to ensure the city’s industry is headed in a direction that supports participants from communities of color and those otherwise targeted by the War on Drugs,” LA Weekly reports.

NJ marijuana legalization: New Jersey just quietly decriminalized weed

Well, sort of… At least for the summer. “New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal on Tuesday [July 24] requested all municipal prosecutors adjourn all marijuana offenses until Sept. 4 as his office develops ‘appropriate guidance’ with the meeting of a working group, including prosecutors and others,” WFMY News 2 reports.

Loudpack Farms, also known as ‘Terp Town,’ is the latest victim of the current wildfires plaguing Northern California. Fortunately, all 300 employees of the canna-company were unharmed.
